I am a mum of 2 boys and have been teaching for 28 years - predominantly in primary schools around Telford, but also as a secondary school English and Nurture teacher.

I am a passionate educator based in Newport, Shropshire, with over 20 years of experience in education, including 16 years teaching across the primary phase in Telford & Wrekin. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and achieve their full potential through access to an excellent education. I love the breadth of the National Curriculum and enjoy creating fun, interactive learning experiences. With a calm and nurturing approach, I focus on building strong teacher-student relationships and identifying gaps in knowledge to support progress.

I am a fully qualified teacher with over ten years’ experience across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, with a strong background in phonics and supporting children with diverse SEN and EAL needs. My calm, nurturing, and personalised approach helps every learner build confidence, develop core skills, and reach their full potential.

I have been a secondary school maths teacher for 12 years and believe building confidence and overcoming the "maths is hard mentality" is key to students progressing and exceeding their targets.

I am a Maths tutor and teacher with 12 years of experience delivering Maths lessons to various levels and abilities of learners.

I've taught in a range of schools in Telford, Wolverhampton, and Dudley since I qualified as a teacher. I now work as a Head of English at a secondary school. I have a masters in Advanced Subject Teaching from the University of Cambridge.
